What do you not record?
Most of the family formal photo sessions after the ceremony. It’s a time for the photographers to capture the group photos which we do not need for video. We usually are setting up for reception after the ceremony and capturing candid shots of the guests and details of reception decor.
We also don’t record when guests are eating. No one wants to see that…

Can we choose our own music for our video?
We usually choose the music based on the little elements of your wedding day to determine the story that’s authentic to you. Most of the songs we use for the Short Film is licensed. Unless you’re able to obtain a license for us, we usually can’t use any mainstream music due to copyright infringement.

What kind of weddings have you done?
Here are some of the traditional weddings we have shot.
  • Hawaiian Blessing Ceremony
  • Traditional Catholic Ceremony
  • Chinese Tea Ceremony
  • Korean Ceremony
  • Hindu Weddings
  • Persian Ceremony
  • Coptic Orthodox
  • shinto wedding ceremony
  • Mormon weddings

Why does it take that long?
It takes time to craft a story. We don’t just use a template on every wedding video and call that a Short Film.

How long does it take before we receive our photo/video?
It takes time to craft a story, match the music, and design the color for every couple. The turnaround time is between 4-6 months for us to finish the video, and 1-2 months for photo. Depending on the season, usually it’s quicker.

How do we book you?
Once you’ve decided that you like our style and that we’re available, we can put together a contract for you. Since we only accept one wedding a day, we do require a retainer (50%) to hold the date for you. The retainer is non-refundable since we will be turning away other potential clients.

Do you travel for weddings? What are the costs?
Of course! Most of the popular destination islands we travel to are: Maui, Kauai, and Big Island. We do also travel to the other 49th states, as well as internationally. Travel fee is not included for non-Oahu weddings.  Please inquire for additional info.

Where are you based?
Honolulu, Hawaii.

Do you provide coverages under 5 hours for video?
The Short Films and Highlight Films we create takes a lot of energy and time. We find that it’s always very difficult to create an adequate story with  limited hours of coverage. Unfortunately for video we do require at least 5 hours of coverage.

Have you ever shot at my venue?
Most likely.  We’ve shot at a lot of venues on and off Oahu.  Here are some of our favorite venues:
  • Kualoa Ranch (all venues)
  • Sunset Ranch
  • Dillingham Ranch
  • Loulu Palms
  • Lanikuhonoa
  • Four Seasons
  • Hale Koa Estate
  • Royal Hawaiian Golf Course
  • Cafe Julia
  • Kahala Hotel
  • Paradise Cove

Can you re-edit our Short Film if we don’t like it?
If our clients have a preference on a certain style of films we create, we’d be happy to discuss prior to the wedding in order to fulfill their vision. The films we create are as much a part of our client’s story as it is our “legacy”?
However it’s not always possible to create the story the way our clients see it if that’s not who they are. Unfortunately we do not re-edit once we publish our work.

What should we expect on our wedding day?
Normally we arrive during the prep/getting ready part of the day to capture some decor/details, dress, flowers, and the intimate moments before the ceremony.
We want you to relax and enjoy the moment.
Unlike photography, video is about capturing the flow.  We will occasionally direct you but for the most part just be natural and we’ll capture the moment.

Can you split up your hours of coverage?
Generally we do not split up our hours.  Once we start, the coverage is continuous. For special circumstances, please inquire and we’d love to work something out.

YOU!

Thank

We'll Be in touch within 48 Hours. We can't wait to chat with you about your day!

they were amazing!

- Branden + Jolene

Seeking Films did our wedding back in March and dang they were amazing! A couple things to note about their professionalism and ability to have fun: 1) They stayed the whole day from morning to midnight without fatigue. They captured a tea ceremony, first looks, ceremony, and reception. 2) They were able to make the babies look at the camera when taking pics. Trevor does a dope wookie impression. 3) They were easy to communicate with and accommodate us when we needed extra time to be added to the shoot. 4) They made my wife and I, who are the opposite of photogenic, get into some awesome looks for the shots. Thank you guys for cementing our memories forever!

conversation with a friend

- Breeana + Francis

We loved the candid, glowiness (is that a word?) and natural feel to all of his photos. I reached out via email and his response was very prompt! The entire time it felt like I was having a conversation with a friend. We met Trevor on location and he quickly helped ease our fears. During our adventure it was awesome to see his spurts of inspiration when the right lighting would peak through the clouds and/or through the trees. My family and I all agree that finding Trevor/seeking films was/is such a blessing! We even decided on the spot to hire him for our wedding!

he was absolutely INCREDIBLE

- Nick + Anna

Trevor photographed both our engagement and wedding, and he was absolutely INCREDIBLE. My husband secretly reached out to Trevor once I mentioned I'd like Trevor to capture our wedding day. I had researched a number of photographers, and ultimately went with Seeking Films since I loved the style and tone of their work. Trevor's super chill and funny, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. We can't thank Trevor enough for his work, and would recommend him/Seeking Films to anyone looking to capture their special moments!

the dream team

- Geetika + Ravi

Yo. Real talk. Trevor, Jack & team are the dream team. I honestly couldn't recommend them more. Having a video/pictures to capture moments was important to us to share with family/friends that couldn't make the destination wedding. Every interaction we had with Seeking films leading up to the wedding day was great. They're always professional, timely with responses and they even met with us a few days before the wedding to make sure they understood how the ceremony/day would flow. Simply put...theyre amazing and their work is both creative and beautiful.
